Jon Young - Senior Pastor
Pastor Jon and Sarah have been at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church since September 2005.  They have two daughters, Hilary and Olivia, both serving here at DABC. The Youngs have been Buckeyes since 1994, serving in Toledo, Hilliard, Cedarville, and now Xenia.

Pastor Jon graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton, with a BS and MS in Computer Science; from Baptist Bible Seminary of Clarks Summit, PA, with a Masters of Divinity, and also holds a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Pastor Jon and Sarah enjoy hospitality and working on home projects in their spare time. Both are avid readers and enjoy staying mentally and physically active.

Tim Cochrell - Associate Pastor
Tim Cochrell is the associate pastor at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church overseeing Christian education, assimilation, and discipleship.  Tim is married to Katie and they have two sons, Caleb and Joshua. Tim is a graduate of Cedarville University earning his Bachelor of Arts in Bible in 2002. He then earned his Masters in Theology in Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2006.  He and his family then spent a semester in Israel studying the language and culture of the Bible at Jerusalem University College. Tim enjoys watching and playing sports, working on his house, and spending time with his family.  His life verse is May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - Psalm 19:14

Ken Winter - Student Ministries Pastor
Pastor Ken and Tara have been at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church since October 2007 as members and serving as Student Pastor since the summer of 2009.  They have three children, Katelyn, Anna and Jacob
Pastor Ken graduated from Cedarville University earning his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management and a minor in bible.  Ken has also served as the Assistant Men’s Soccer coach at CU for the past three years.

Ken served as a youth pastor in East Stroudsburg, PA from 2002-2007.

Ken is an avid sports fan rooting for the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Phillies.  In his spare time he enjoys taking Katelyn rock climbing, watching Anna and Jacob play soccer and spending free time with the entire family.

Bruce Traeger - Worship Pastor
Bruce Traeger is the Worship Pastor at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church.  Bruce and his wife Becky lead and direct the music ministry at DABC.  Opportunities for music involvement include a Praise Team, Praise Band, Adult Fellowship Choir along with special music.  They have three children, Brittany Flesch, (married), Bethany and Bradford.  Bruce is a graduate of Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Seminary.  Bruce serves part-time with the church while also working as the Director of Church Relations at Cedarville University.  Prior to serving at DABC, Bruce served as the Associate Pastor of Education at the Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, KY.  In addition he has worked in various roles in Christian higher education for over 22 years.
   
Bruce and Becky enjoy biking, gardening, a wide variety of Christian music and are avid KY Wildcat basketball fans!

Cheryl Irish - Children’s Ministry Director
Cheryl and her husband, Jim, have been members at DABC since 2006. Prior to moving to Xenia and joining DABC, they were active in the church plant supported by DABC in South Charleston, Ohio.

Serving in public and Christian education for over 25 years, Cheryl is currently a professor at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). She teaches and coordinates assessment and accreditation for the educator preparation programs at IWU.
 
Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and says about her ministry, “Just as I desire to see my grandchildren come to Christ and grow in their spiritual walks, it is an awesome privilege to work alongside the faithful staff at DABC as they teach your children about Jesus!”
